Wow. Time really flies. And this time around I'm sorry I haven't been updating much for long. Well, I went on a holiday trip from 6th Sep to 9th Sep with my family for 4 days, 3 nights.
First up, PD - Port Dickson.
The destination was chosen by my mum who commented that it's a good place for my dad and myself to de-stress since our exams were just over. Actually, the place is rather okay. That's all I can say about the life there. But, the best feature about this place is the beautiful sea, clear and it's just so lovely. So, it's rather nice for me to just look out to the sea from my hotel, de-stress and just let out a huge "ahhh!". And hey, this is my first holiday which features a single me. Haha. Yeahh. I did thought about myself during the holiday. But, this entry is not about that, therefore, let's move on.
We stayed for just one night over there. The first day we arrived there, we simply took a walk around the city or town. There was nothing much except for the local pasar malam. And the next morning, we took a dip into the pool and of course, not to forget the sea.
Second up/Last, KL - Kuala Lumpur.
This destination wasn't just chosen by my mum, but haha, it depicts me as well. Hey, what's a holiday without any shopping spree. But, my shopping spree for this holiday was abit different from the rest of my holidays. While my mum picked herself her birthday present of which my dad paid for, and my dad eye-ing on most of Adidas products, and my sis getting a few baju kurongs, I was looking everywhere, high and low, for Transformers. I would buy one or even two, if they were cheap or maybe, the same price as the ones in Singapore. But, a little disappointment grew in me. There was this big hobby store selling only Transformers, Gundams and Star Wars. So, I thought that it was going to be my lucky day, haha. The Transformers were like 15 bucks more expensive that the ones in Singapore, in SGD currency! I kind of pity the Malaysians. Haha. And that time, I wasn't ready yet to resume my Star Wars collection, so I didn't think much about them when I was in the store.
So, yeahh.
We stayed in KL for 2 nights. A night over at Concorde which costs us RM 313, really made our holiday shaky, cause my dad was complaining over the too-expensive hotel rates. But it soon didn't matter anymore, as we moved over to a smaller but comfortable hotel, Brisdale hotel, which is rather near to my mum's second favourite shopping places. A haven for those people or should I say, mostly, women, shopped for their Hari Raya cakes or kuihs decorative sets.
I don't really have the strength to talk about a time when my dad and myself had to shift our car from Concorde to Brisdale, as we all know, KL has the worst traffic ever in Asia. So, the highways and lorongs kept us away from our plan for nearly an hour!
No pics were taken at all during the holiday. I don't know why, but I wanted a relaxed holiday. So, there you go. A brief but satisfying review on my holiday.
We were back in Singapore at around 8 pm, so we had our dinner at Makanshiok, and then, back to our best hotel ever, home.
Oh yah! One last thing, food in Malaysia just rocks!
